| Feng Tay Group regards environmental protection as a fundamental obligation, and we have accordingly integrated appropriate practices into our operations. In each step of the manufacturing process, we strive to minimize the impact on the environment by setting up strict regulations on the administration of waste disposal, air emissions and water management. Use of chlorofluorocarbon compounds (CFCs) has been prohibited since 1992. Furthermore, since 1996, our Group has generally used water-based adhesives not containing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are potentially hazardous to the health of workers as well as the environment. In February 1997, a specialized Environmental Action team was organized in order to evaluate the effectiveness of our education and training programs. Moreover, soberly aware of the gravity of climate change, we have recently made reduction of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions one of our highest priorities. Environmental protection is not merely a saying but is an actual practice at each factory of Feng Tay Group. |
