Upon receiving a resume from a job applicant, the HR department reviews the individual's general information and enters the resume into an applicant database. If the applicant matches current requirements, then an initial interview is conducted by the HR department and qualified applicants is to an internal candidate pool. Departments interested in a candidate conduct second interviews and subsequently decide whether or not to they are interested in hiring the candidate. The HR department subsequently extends a job offer to an eligible candidate and informs them of the starting date (usually the first working day of a month). |
